Is it normal for a 65 yr old to marry a 13 year old girl in Saudi Arabia? |
Travel Info http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:wxm... In most sane countries wouldn't this man be classede as a pervert and a pedophile Travel Tips it should be written as he bought a 13 years old girl. if some one has the money, then he well find some one to sell him 13 years old girl in Saudi Arabia and it is unfortunately legal, sorry but I don't call that a marriage and that guy should of have some ethics and not to go for such deals. Others It is not normal where I live. However this stuff happens all the time around the world, even in America unfortunately cultural differences. get used to it. It's not normal throughout the world. No. Well, i don't know where to start, u seem to be so interested in Saudi Arabia and only the weird things that happen there i don't even think u will have an open mind if i try to explain anything to u but i will try anyway. No it is not normal, and it is by far immoral but get the religion out of this discussion there are other things to consider like education, culture, upbringing and the general codes of ethics for each region. I know for a fact that Saudi Arabia is full of extremely well educated, honest decent people so generalizing things in yr question would be really unfair. Take a closer look in other countries full of weird, strange and immoral things. I don't mean to preach but it would do everybody good if people start with themselves before pointing fingers. It's not very comon, but also not "unnormal" that a 13 years old get married especially when she reached puberty already and the marriage is taken place in acordance with the Sharia Law. Saudi Arabia is not the only country where young girls are allowed by law to marry in this early age. Btw: KSA did never sign the CEDAW. Just because culture in KSA is different from yours it does not give you the right to judge it. There is something like: Respecting a country's culture. Take care! @hope: thank you! there is no flirting, going out for coffee, having date, holding hands in their world.they simply get married. it is not always convenient and 'normal' but their culture is based on some ( for others) very strange aspects. in your country, how many friends of yours are changing partners or boy/girl -friends and you never said it was immoral. it is not always correct what you think correct will you accept polyandry?for some people it is normal |
