Why are women not allowed out alone or in unrelated male company in Saudi Arabia BUT? |
Travel Info They are allowed to be driven around by unrelated male drivers? It doesn't make sense or do servants not count Travel Tips it doesn't make sense to me too. Others That's part of there lop sided Islamic beliefs, Just look at how screwed up the middle east is. And all of them here in the United states and all there in breading. If you did no grow up in the Saudi Arabian culture, you hardly won't understand. There is female/private space, public space and domestic space. In Saudi Arabia, where women are not allowed to drive, middle- and upper-class families often hire immigrant men as drivers. These immigrant men are allowed in the 'female, private' space of the car, which unrelated Saudi men would never be permitted to share with a Saudi woman. These immigrant men are mostly from Asia or the Asian Subkontinent and are NO Muslims. Should a woman need a ride in a cab, she mostly will be with other women or kids, hardly not by herself. Take care. Abu Dhabi She is not allowed to go outside alone with a male relative otherwise she is committing a sin and can be punished by the Muttawa by being flogged in public. She has to have her son there with her or another male family member with her. That is against Islam for women and girls to be outside without their male guardian. Saudi Airlines allows a young woman to travel in aeroplane as an air hosts. |
