Can someone tell me the entire procedure of traveling(checking in, boarding etc) from India 2 Saudi Arabia.... |
Travel Info I have a transit at dubai for 10 hrs...... and im flying by emirates... though i've done this before it was a long tym bak.. nd just wanna refresh my memory before my journey since its a long wait do i get a hotel.. im traveling by economy class Travel Tips You check in like you would any other airport. You present your passport, wait in line. You shouldnt get a hotel, just sit around. Others Same with procedures at other international airports. But in Saudi, it's quite common that the airport officials (the immigration staff and polices) cannot speak english well. I flew by Emirates from Kuala Lumpur...they didn't give me a hotel and made me sit in the Dubai airport for 13 hours :| You probably wont get a hotel either, but you will get free meals in the special airport restaurant. In India, first you'll probably have to run your luggage through a security check, and they'll strap up your luggage with their security stickers and stuff. Then go to the check in counter for your flight, check your luggage in, get tags for your hand baggage, and get your boarding pass. Then you can go for immigration, and board the plane when its time. Arriving in Saudi Arabia, the first place you go to will be the immigration counter. Since you probably have the visa you need to enter Saudi Arabia, just keep that page open when hand them the passport, it'll make the process a whole lot quicker, as he wont have to spend time searching for it (which seems to take a lot of time...) Then you'll get to the baggage collection area. Collect your baggage and run them through the security machines, and your done. (Make sure you don't have any alcohol or other objectionable objects in your baggage.) And don't ever leave any of your baggage unattended. Have a safe journey :) |
