Travel Info Are amusement parks in Saudi Arabia just for children or are there rides for their parents and adults too? Travel Tips Depends on the area in which you live.. Jeddah (in the west coast) and Khobar (in the east coast) are both much more westernized and worldly in their thinking than Riyadh the capitol. . I am from Khobar area and lately in the past 5 years or so, everything has opened up much more and its more of a relaxed atmosphere.. Where 10years ago, amusement parks were strictly for families only, no singles allowed. and there were specific times for just women and small kids below 11years old. But lately, ive noticed anyone is welcome in these parks.. But if a group of rowdy single boys is causing problems by staring or following girls, the security does ask them to leave.. But they are trying to be more lenient lately and allow everyone in to have fun. .. As for adults.. haha! I myself love the rides just as much as my kids do.. (my husband is a different story, it makes him ill to ride some) Others Some parks set separate opening hours, for example: - Fathers and children in the afternoon - Mothers and children at night. But some parks in Jeddah allow to have entire family all in once, because Jeddah is more moderate than other cities in Saudi. Specify city please. |
