Osama bin laden? |
Travel Info Probably very late in asking this question but I just found this place so... What do Saudi people think of him? I read that he worked for the CIA. Travel Tips he was created by the cia.. when Afghanistan was at war with Russia, USA recruited him to help get together a team of freedom fighters to train and fight Russia.. Thats how all this started.. So in essense, he was a creation by USA.. Erm.. the Saudi's (I am a Saudi) we are indifferent somewhat to him.. He doesnt mean much here.. I mean we dont give him the importance or the attention that the west does.. He's basically a no body.. Sure he comes from a wealthy family.. but thats about it.. He was exciled from Saudi, he is not allowed to return or live in Saudi now. He is an old geezer now and probably too ill or sick to do much.. USA is putting way too much importance on him lately when they should put their energies on other issues.. Osama probably even could be deceased.. Others Not surprised that he worked for the CIA. You mean Americans attacking fellow Americans ? Perhaps, in a similar way to how Germans feel about Hitler today, Saudi people consider Osama bin laden a Terrorist, and hate him like the rest of the world, if not more even, almost 65% of saudi accomplishments in the war against terrorism in Saudi Arabia were by the help of Saudi citizens themselves calling in authorities and reporting. because honestly he really hurt their reputation badly, and I THINK that if he ever were to appear on Saudi soil he'd be sentenced to death immediately, simply because what he's doing is not related in any way to Islam. Also Saudi Arabia is a huge bulls-eye for terrorists and the Saudi government fights them mercilessly. He was once an America's sweetheart. Now he's enemy number one of USA. But I doubt it though. He's probably Bush's sweetheart, therefore Bush cannot (or don't want to) catch him as yet. |
