I think they state 20 kg on ticket but allow upto 35 kg on international flights... that's what my agent said n some ppl who've traveled internationally in recent times... oh, n find out about Al-Fursan membership... extra baggage privelege

It is limited to 20 kg (or 1 pc) for economy and 30 kg (or 2 pcs) check-in baggae for J Class. Your 'returning expatriate' status is only relevant for calculating custom duty on goods being imported and doesnt qualify you for additional baggage allowance.
All passengers on trans Atlantic flights are entitled to 2 pieces of checked luggage. However, as of January 2006:

For business class, the maximum weight of each is 32 kg (70.5 lb) the three dimensions of each not exceeding 158 cm (63")

For economy Class, the maximum weight of each is 23 kg (50.7 lb) the three dimensions of each not exceeding 158 cm (63")

The ultimate weight per piece for all categories is 32 kg (70.5 lb). Above 32 kg (70.5 lb) per piece is absolutely prohibited and must be reduced to the 32 kg (70.5 lb).
