What kind of items found in the US should be taken to my in-laws in Saudi Arabia as gifts?

Travel Info
My in-laws are Palestinian Muslim, I've never visited Saudi and have never met my in-laws before. I'm not sure if we have any cool or useful items in the US that they might not have access to there.

I understand that they have just about everything we have, but my husband isn't helping with ideas. I would appreciate any input!

Also, I'm buying for 20 people (my husband has a HUGE family and 17 covers his parents and brothers and sisters only).

Travel Tips
+ They might like a sample of Vermont Maple syrup. That would be something novel for them. And teach the young boy about the trick of adding Clorox to brake fluid to make smoke. (they should love that one(OUTSIDE ONLY). How about some hand carved Cedar products like letter openers. Or maybe the tee shirts with the names of the winning ball teams or hockey teams. Otherwise your guess is as good as mine.

Others
A Bottle of Ethynol.
Bring some sand, I'm sure they don't have that there.
Yes, you are right. They probably have everything in Saudi Arabia. So, perhaps you should limit yourself to crafts that are unique to sections of the US. Items made by the aboriginal peoples of the Southwest would be suitable. I don't know how you could manage 20 people. It would be so heavy. Only items made of cloth would be manageable. A lovely gift for the parents might be preferable and then small souvenirs for the others might work.

I'm wondering why is it your job to decide? Surely the husband is more knowledgeable. Tell him that if he doesn't help, you'll be forced to take nothing. I'm sure that wouldn't set well with his parents. They would expect him to take the initiative, because in Saudi Arabia, it is usually the men who are on the streets purchasing for their families. Women are more limited as to where they can go as they are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia. (Also, you wouldn't want to buy something that was not acceptable or might offend.)
That is alot of gifts. Please try for small items (Mementos mostly) for most of the family-as your luggage will only hold only so much. And, you cannot have the luggage overweight, and you need your own clothes, too.

One thing I can think of for these small gifts are magnets that represent the place you live. A friend and I collect them from all over the world, and put them on our refrigerators.....a reminder.
Bring them pictures of you for them to keep, and something that represents the US to you that you think they will enjoy. You could bring recipes to cook for them (but their food is probably better than American food, no offense! And they will want to cook for you). If there are a lot of little kids you can bring them each a packet of gum and a beany baby. Older girls might like a container of lip gloss and boys--don't ask me what boys like! Get your husband's parents the best gifts, maybe a funny American tie and a shirt that says the name of the city you're from. For your husband's mother buy some pretty gloves. Be prepared to GET a lot of gifts!
Have a great trip!
