Arriving in Riyadh with laptop, iPod, USB card, etc? |
Travel Info how do Saudi customs officials now handle people arriving with laptops or other devices that have storage capabilities? I know they check any printed matter, but what do they do with electronic devices? Anyone have any recent experience? Travel Tips They usually don't even check printed matter, unless it shows in the x-ray as something obviously offensive. They might ask you to open the lid of your laptop but usually they don't ask you to turn it on. I took a bunch of CDs, they just flipped through them, but didn't check out any. But better be safe. Don't bring any objectionable material. Others Clean your laptop, Ipod not sure, USB card allowed. dude I am Saudi and there is no reason for u to be afraid about any thing they wont day any thing like they do up in American customs. well if you have a laptop they will check if you have any pornographic images or clips but it wont take 5 mintues if u do have these things they will delte it from yuor computer but you might be lucky but they dont check the computers all the time some times they just let you threw personal experince happend to me 5 times twice was checked I have visit to all Saudi Region they do nothing with me.
