Are there any Saudi women out here? Please answer these questions find below? |
Travel Info Hi. I would like to ask you these questions: Do you think you are treated fairly? What are the rules for women? Have you ever received abusive treatment? Please give me sincere replies without hiding things and without exaggerating things. Travel Tips Listen dear, first of all, believe me that I'll reply sincerely without hiding things and without exaggerating. I'm so honest with myself and consequently with others. In fact, I think we're treated truly fairly; for instance, Saudi women nowadays compete men in education. I'd meet lots of women holding Bachelor's, Masters' and PHDs. You'd be surprised that most of them are from the middile class; you know why? because the best universities in Saudi are free. Actually, in public universities, they give a very good amount of money for each bachelor student every month. Women also work in good positions as doctors, nurses, teachers, bankers, secretaries, translators, interpreters..etc. Regarding your second question,In my opinion, there are three simple obvious rules if you'd like to call it that way. First, wearing hijab which I believe is a part of riligon and not a rule. And I as a real saudi muslim, don't mind wearing my hijab. Actually I feel proud of it and I don't think would prevent me from practising my daily life. Second, boy friends is forbidden; which is in riligon too. I appreciate it very much, and I think you know what kind of problems, misunderstanding, unstability and diseases may occur from illegal relationships. Third, driving is not allowed for women. Most Saudi women don't face any problem because of having drivers. refering to your third question, I've never received abusive treatment. Let me clarify this by telling you about myself as a Saudi woman and you'd judge. Actually, I graduated from English translation department and got the Bachelor's degree. I'm working an executive secretary as a first job and getting a very high salary. I have interests and hobbies just like all women around the world. I do painting, horseback riding, photography, ping-pong, writing poems in English and prose in Arabic..I go for shopping as we have the best international shops. I travel with my family every summer to different countries in order to discover new cultures and meet different people. Last but not least, my best friend is christian. I love her, respect her and pray for her. My advice is not to listen to those people who try to deform the picture of saudies. If you have any other question, please don't hesitate to ask me. Warm regards, Ghada Others hi Do you think you are treated fairly? mostly, yes maybe there r few diffreneces between women and men but generally, we r living a good life and u know, it depends on the person himself, does he treat us fairly or not What are the rules for women? it is a general question, be more specific please :) Have you ever received abusive treatment? NEVER!! even men in that country are not treated fairly. i am as amuslim man i want to answer you this : in islam the orders are to respect the woman, to provide her every thing needed to life good life, not the same image every where there is women not treated fairly, every where women experience abusive. in brief, every where there is good and bad people, no matter how they try to give bad idea about arabs and islam , in all the country people led good life Yes I am treated fairly. No I've never received abusive treatment from my husband or anybody else. Women are required to leave the house with the Abaya(long black robe) on. They have to wear hijab(headscarf that covers the hair). Women can not drive cars. Everything is segregated by sex. Women can't leave the house without the husband or father or other close male relative with them. There are no activities for women to do in Saudi at least not where I live anyway. Riyadh is a crazy crowded city. The mentality among most Saudis is pure stupidity. Muslim women get married at 14 years old. if our women are being abused then surely some would鈥檝e commit suicide by now and a lot would be in hospitals recovering from broken bones and mental problems鈥?and definitely the whole world would鈥檝e know about it 鈥鈥檓 serious鈥?and in colors too. our women are the most beautiful women in the world鈥?ok maybe a tie with Indian women鈥ol鈥hey are also smart, supportive and protective. but hey, there is a group of people on this planet who are cooking something and making you believe in what they want to... but you are smarter than a lot of people out there because you asked for sincere replies鈥?no hiding and no exaggerating鈥?it looks like you are not buying what you been seeing on TV鈥?simply you are digging for the truth鈥?and this means 鈥測ou are alive!鈥?br /> I don鈥檛 know where you are and where you from鈥?but if there are some Saudi families in your community, try to be their friend! |
