I want to go to this March in Saudi Arabia: how do I get a passport? |
Travel Info http://www.huffingtonpost.com/greg-gutfe... this is a march to protest killing of gays and lesbians by muslims; I would like to know if there is anyone planning to go from the US besides hollywood stars. this is on arianna huffington's website, for real. "The march, a brainchild of activists and celebrities who acknowledge that more gays are dying from Islamic fundamentalism than from the policies of George W. Bush, will begin 12 noon sharp in Jeddah, the stunning night-life friendly Saudi Arabian city located on the coast of the Red Sea." Travel Tips You鈥檝e got some serious drama issues. Not to burst your bubble but there is no way foreigners can get in to Saudi unless on a work permit, which is a law that anticipates dumb moves people from the outside might try to make such as this one. Second, even if you get to Saudi one way or another, there is no way in hell your going to get close to Mecca, that is strictly Muslim territory, and judging by your 鈥済ay pride鈥?I doubt you are. Third, leave your 鈥済ay Muslim brothers & sisters鈥?to us, hurling has been an effective tool in keeping homo-abnormality under control. Fourth, any Muslim who is gay and not happy with his gay rights in Islam, is most welcome to convert and move to LA, be with his kind. So, for what it鈥檚 worth鈥ood luck with your rainbow march. Others You can get a passport easily but I can tell you right now there is no way your getting a visa to Saudi....The kingdom doesnt have tourist visas. You have to have a very good reason to go to Saudi such as work, hajj...etc...and a sponsor. Trust me there is no way they are going to allow someone into their country to protest.. Lived in Saudi for 2 years..... Who ever wrote, ". . . the stunning night-life friendly Saudi Arabian city located on the coast of the Red Sea." has never - ever been in Saudi Arabia and most certainly not Jeddah. There is no such thing as "stunning night-life" anywhere in Saudi Arabia. The only thing even approaching stunning night-life there would be a very VERY private party. Places that have anything close to night life are bowling ally and a zoo and those places are restricted to FAMILY ONLY hours, WOMEN ONLY hours, and MEN ONLY hours. Other than those sites, there are restaurants and shopping malls. Males and females do not mingle freely in those public places BUT they very sly-like, pass notes and thus, trade phone numbers. That is where the hey-hey begins. Very quiet, secret, and obviously very private. When a native girl can be killed for playing about or EVEN suspected of playing sexy games. . . . the playing and partying is a dangerous game. Your question addresses getting a passport. You get a United States Passport by applying for one like at the Post Office. You get a VISITOR'S VISA to Saudi Arabia by asking permission to enter the country at the nearest Saudi Counsulate Office or directly to the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Washington, D. C. In addition, do you really think that if this protest march against KILLING gays and lesbians by Muslims is to be a factual event -- that it would even be allowed in Saudi Arabia? NEVER HAPPEN JOSE. That is why this question is sooooo bogus. Or someone has fed you a long line of flam-foosal. First of all, Saudis do not like having mass get-togethers of anything and least of all a PROTEST march. And then for the Saudis to allow a protest assembly comdeming Muslims for anything is so out of reality -- the thought of something like that happening is wildly amusing. I went to the web site you posted with your question. It's a hoot. It has to be someone's laugh/joke of the year, like April Fool's. In addition to all the glitz and name dropping this site spews, there is no non-Muslim, non-beliver, unclean westener ever gonna get close to Mekka (Mecca) as non-Muslims ARE NOT ALOWED THERE ---- PERIOD!!!! You've got to be kidding, right??? There are NO demonstrations of any kind ANYWHERE in Saudi Arabia!!!! You cannot get a visiting visa. You must have a job there. And the people who hire you will be your sponsor and they get the visa. Everything is censored there. It is a very closed, strict and basically very backward country. Non-Muslims are allowed in S.A. with a job and a work visa. They are not allowed in Mecca or Medina. Thats a good joke... |
