Travel Info Saudi: how do u treat christians? Travel Tips Christians are treated fine in Saudi Arabia. However it is sex segregated. Also if you are a woman you can not drive in Saudi Arabia. You could get a ticket if you tried. Christians are not allowed to practice their faith in Saudi. They can not bring anything related to another religion other than Islam into Saudi Arabia. If you are a woman make sure you cover up in modest clothing. Wear the Abbya, and hijab. Also if you want to be really safe wear the niqab as well. The color for Muslim women in the Gulf countries is black. If you go out to a restaurant you will have to sit with the women. There isn't a lot for women to do in Saudi Arabia. Don't drink alcohol, smoke, do or deal drugs, and don't eat pork. Don't talk to men as it's disrespectful. Make sure you have a male guide to take you places. Saudi Arabia is relatively safe. Others you must treat them well!!! because if your good to them they will also be good with you!!!!and in fact you must be good to everyone not just christians!!! based on my opinion While some Saudi people might be friendly towards Christians, the govt. and laws in Saudi Arabia are very anti-Christian. Also very anti-female. You have to remember that Saudi Arabia is ruled by the Wahhabi ( not sure on spelling ) sect of muslims are extremists. It is illegal to talk of the Bible and can get you beheaded if you convert to Christian beliefs. It has happened. They support terrorism. The list goes on. If you are an extremist muslim, you will get along fine there. there are no christians in Saudi arabia, in other arabian countries they treat them as the holy Quran states with respect there are no saudi arabian christians BUT there is christians from other countries in saudi arabia and there are treated like every body else...and about yasser you have to stand in the line with the other girls LooL I have lived in Saudia Arabia for 18 years, and let me tell you. Saudi treat Christians from the West.. WAY BETTER... than they treat Muslims from Southern Asia. Yeah, their salaries were autimatically doubled if you had an America, English etc nationality. |
