I'd like to know some particulars about Stanwood, Washington? About the schools and community as a whole.? |
Travel Info churches, stores and activities available. Travel Tips Stanwood has developed from a rural farming town to a suburban city. Camano Island, which is adjacent to Stanwood, is seeing a major boom of housing development which is growing both Camano Island and Stanwood. Stanwood is in a nice area of Washington State; about 50 miles north of Seattle and 20 miles from Everett. Most Stanwood residents are employed by Boeing or various companies along the I-5 cooridoor (Mt Vernon, Everett, Seattle). As a former teacher at Stanwood High School, the school system is typical of most school systems across the country. Plenty of room and growth for learning and activities. Info on schools: http://www.stanwood.wednet.edu High school is very large; with about 1800 students. I moved out of there four years ago primarily because of the cost of living associated with my teaching job along with other career advancements in my field. Others Use to live nearby in Mount Vernon, Stanwood is in the country, Skagit Valley to be exact. They have schools, churches, stores, A little Scandinavian area which is kind of neat. Lot of farming community all around and good fishing. If Jimmy's Pizza is still there, it's really good If you have lots of money to spend yes it is a great place. We have all the necessary evils required to keep up with the big cities and none of the police to bother you. Now if that don't answer your question, nothing will! Life is what you make of it and where. |
