What is the safest area and most reasonably priced area to rent an apartment in seattle? |
Travel Info I'm planning on going to school to finish my degree in seattle. the school is by denny triangle (denny park) I hear many students live in capital hill or belltown or a few north queen anne. Can you give me prices (aprox me living with one or 2 others) Also safety is important as is low crime rate. Queen Anne can be expensive too. Additionally, you can probably go to your school and find out about sharing. That's how I did it when I went to school at the Art Institute. Other Travel Tips I personally wouldn't want to live anywhere downtown, but it sounds like it might be your best bet since you'll be going to school down there. My recommendation would be Lower Queen Anne (sometimes also called Uptown), Queen Anne, Lake Union (along Dexter Ave) or Eastlake, even though it's a little farther away. Capitol Hill has some nice places, but it also has some very seedy places. Belltown would be a no-go. It's just to sketchy after dark and even during the day in certain areas. If you don't mind living a little further out and taking the bus, I would possibly recommend the U-District. It's more affordable, there are lots of students, and it would be a fairly quick bus ride to thae area in which you'll be going to school.
