Travel Info What is the range of mountains in N.W.WASHINGTON called? Travel Tips The Olympic Mountains, part of Olympic National Park, are in the NW corner of Washington State. Here's more information: http://www.nps.gov/olym/ From what I remember, they are the "youngest" mountains in the country. If you ever get the chance, I'd highly recommend visiting Hurricane Ridge, near Port Angeles...it's by far the best view of the mountains! In central Washington, we also have the Cascade Mountains, which are also very beautiful. Other Travel Tips the alps i recon You're talking about the mountains west/northwest of Puget Sound, correct? Those would be the Olympic Mountains, located on the Olympic Peninsula. Olympic range they are gorgeous There are two mountains ranges in Washington state...The Cascades and the Olympics... I believe it is called the Cascade Mountains. That is what I was taught. |
