I am thinking about surprising my boyfriend for his b-day and taking him to Wa to visit the grave of his idol Jimi Hendrix. Can anyone tell me if there are any other places to visit in Wa. closed to the cementary? Also any hotels in the area?

I am not a native of WA. but have recently relocated to Seattle so I am always looking for cool places to visit. On my first visit to Seattle I did visit Jimi's grave - he is actually buried in Renton which is south of Seattle. Renton is an ok city, but if you really want to experience the area you should venture into the city of Seattle. Before or after visiting Jimi's grave go to the Experience Music Project at Seattle Center (which is where the Space Needle is) and then take a cab or drive to Pioneer square or check out Broadway. That will leave a lasting impression with your beau. Jimi's image exists everywhere in this great city. Good luck!!! |
