Swimming
In the Seattle area, there is water-skiing, jet-skiing, swimming, sailing, etc. but also fantastic kayaking, especially in the San Juan Islands. Seattle also has dragon-boating and canoeing.

What many people do not know is that, because of our (usually!) mild winters, Seattle is one of the most important cities in the country for rowing, both sweep (one oar per rower) and sculling (two oars per rower). Many rowers hoping to make the national team live and train in Seattle.

I forgot scuba diving--there is an undersea park in Edmonds, north of Seattle, and many divers report encounters with friendly (???) squids and octopuses--and fishing.
