What are the similarities between San Francisco and Seattle? |
Travel Info I keep hearing that San Francisco and Seattle are strikingly similar in culture/socially, politically, climate, and setting. Can anyone who has lived in both cities attest to this given the above mentioned attributes? Travel Tips Quite true indeed. Both have a very high concentration of Asians. The weather is similar in both cities. Very hilly terrain in both. Rainfall is the same in both. Both are very liberal cities. Both lead the way in music and the arts. Seattle is a more educated city and the people are healthier with far more outdoor activities and access to water and mountains. Although there are plenty of gays in Seattle, there are far more in SF. No state income tax in Seattle either. Seattle is also much safer with a low crime rate.
