Travel Info Is there an efficient way to get from Seattle to Port Townsend using public transportation? Travel Tips Yes! You can use the ferry system to Bremerton where an easy connection to Kitsap Transit can be made to continue to Port Townsend. These services run daily and are very reasonable in cost. Travel time will be about 50 minutes on the farry and about 30 to 40 more on the bus. Good Luck! Source(s): kitsaptransit.org Other Travel Tips Using public transportation as your only means? No, there isn't. Here's a website with a bunch of options... http://www.ptguide.com/gettingaround/sea... You might want to try the ferry system. I don't think there is one straight from Seattle to Port Townsend. But check out this website! http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/... Road Dog is correct, but you could also take a bus up to the Edmonds-Kingston ferry and take a bus from Kingston to Port Townsend. It's far more than 30 minutes from Bremerton to Port Townsend, more like 90 minutes, but it's not too bad. You can also take the Mukilteo Ferry over to Clinton (on Whidbey Island) and then take the bus from Clinto to the ferry at Fort something or other and that drops you in Port Townsend. It's beautiful. So there are three options: Seattle to Bremerton & Bus, Seattle to Edmonds bus, Ferry to Kingston, bus to Port Townsend, Bus to Mukilteo, Ferry to Clinton, Bus to Fort...?, and Ferry to Port Townsend... Then once in Port Townsend you could take another route back... That might be fun. Enjoy. This area is gorgeous! |
