Travel Info I live in Portland Oregon and I find the job market in Seattle mostly to involve the big Fortune 500 companies there - are there good smaller companies hiring? I work in the marketing research and analysis field. Travel Tips I find that job market in Seattle is much better than in Portland, OR. There is a large variety of companies in Seattle hiring. If you would like to do more comparison check out craigslist, monster.com etc. websites where jobs are posted. In general, marketing professionals are in a very high demand everywhere. Others It's actually pretty good. Washington's unemployment has been going down in recent years, and this will be enjoyed most on the western side of the state. (Spokane is typically more depressed.)
