Is a daily Seattle to Redmond commute too much?

Travel Info
I'm planning on moving to Seattle within the year. What is a reasonable radious around downtown Seattle to live? Would Shorline be too far North if i had a job in the downtown area?

Travel Tips
For such a forward thinking city on transit options no one mentioned the Sounder, other express transit options or the soon to be coming light rail. Sound Transit takes you right into Downtown and runs from Redmond. I know a few times this last winter a couple of the routes were closed due to mudslides, but that could happen anywhere. Check out this website. Seattle is getting some pretty cool alternative options to sitting in traffic.

Others
Redmond is Microsoft area, Shorline is not a part of Seattle but is north of Seattle & if your driving no it is not too far
Any commute in the seattle area sucks these days, But shoreline to seattle is good (shoreline is basically north seattle) And redmond to seattle will hit some crap traffic on the 520 bridge, and to a lesser amount the I90 bridge, but distance wise it is not too bad, and pretty direct. A good option may be north to lynnwood area. Not too much farther away and much better prices and taxes in snohomish county. Hope this helps a bit
That's not a bad drive at all; learn to allow for the traffic, and you should be fine. Redmond and Bellevue are good spots to live; Issaquah is also, but it's pricier.
If you're living in Seattle, commute to and from work in suburbs wouldn't be too bad, but it'll be a bad commute if you go to Seattle from pretty much any suburb that isn't Burien or Shoreline.
Shoreline to Downtown is about 15-20 min away. Seattle to Redmond is NOT worth all that traffic especially if you're on I-405 or on 520.
Shoreline would be preferable to Redmond. You want to stay west of Lake Washington.
Other areas to consider are
Lake City, Wedgewood, the areas around the Arboretum,
Madison Park, Leschi, Seward Park.
