Where are the best places for a 26-year old professional to live in the Seattle area?

Travel Info
Also, what is the average cost of a 1-bedroom apartment in this area?

Travel Tips
Depends on a lot of things. Seattle has many sub areas which can be drastically different. Ballard or Queen Anne would be nice and not too far away from downtown if you need to work there. If you're crazy you might like Capitol Hill or the U District. And for a 1 bedroom apartment I think that $800 is a pretty good estimate. Anything less and you might have to worry about the quality of the building and area. The city housing page has some useful info, good luck: Source(s): http://seattle.gov/html/citizen/housing....

Ballard/crown hill $900+ for apts
I would say the east side of the lake is the best overall, Bellevue & Kirkland are really nice and an apartment wold go for about $700 to 900 depending on amenities.
Why not try the top of the space needle?
Downtown Seattle/Belltown almost 1k/month . Or live in Bellevue.. much more quieter.
