Travel Info I麓m moving to seattle soon, is it complicated to drive in seattle downtown, or should i take a bus or ELSE? Travel Tips Seattle is pretty straight forward for driving, just crowded. The public transportation system is one of the best in the nation, and for downtown... the only way to go. For myself I love to walk so I literally walk the length of the main downtown area, from Pioneer Square tot he Seattle Center; but I enjoy the slower pace, I usually take stairs not the Elevators. You should try to find some, it would be pretty cool. I wouldn't say it's complicated, it can be crowded and if you don't know where you're going it can be a challenge. Once you get to know the area its no big deal! Its not bad for driving, but the parking is a killer. Expect to pay close to New York rates for monthly parking, street parking can run you as much a 10 bucks an hour in the downtown core. Public transit is a steal though compared to some cities. King County Metro Transit will sell you a monthly pass for about 36 bucks. be safe ride the bus |
