Which are the best places for sightseeing in Seattle, WA? |
Travel Info I don't want links, just your personal experiences and favourites. Travel Tips my fave is to go to The Pike Place Market and to walk through the stores and smell the aromas that seem to emenate from all round the world then from there i walk down to the piers and go to see the ye olde curiosity shop and see the mummy's REAL mummies very cool as well as other oditiesthen i walk back up to the market and down the strret and head over to the mall and catch the monorail when it is working to the EMP or expirience music project and the seattle science center and space needle all located on the same block.....the center offers a huge fountain and IMAX movies outside of Seattle try goin up to Mt Rainier National Forest and looking at all the beauty i live 15 miles from the park and i would not trade it for the world Others In Seattle, go see the Pike Place market and when you're done enjoying the shopping and picture taking, walk down to the waterfront for either more shopping or sightseeing. The waterfront has the aquarium, and tours of the Puget sound. The next place to go to in the same area is the Seattle Center where there is the Space needle. Enjoy the view if you are there on a clear day, or enjoy dining and looking out at the view (the restaurant rotates slowly). There is the Pacific Science center or if you enjoy basketball, go watch a game at the Key arena. An interesting tour is the Underground tour. I'll be typing here a long time if I tell you more places to go. Downtown alone is very interesting, take the bus while you're there, it is free to ride around downtown Seattle. Use to work in Seattle area, lived in Redmond, WA. i have lived in Seattle all my life and i think the best spot is the space needle because it's observation deck is 360 degrees around and since it's 605 feet the air you can see the downtown skyline and all the mountains in the background. and the Puget sound to. in snoqualmi there's a waterfall that's 286 feet tall and 50 feet wide called snoqualmi falls it's so cool when you go down below they'll let you as close as 50 feet away from it. Woodland Park Zoo, The Museum of Flight, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Aquarium, The Waterfront (Ye Olde Curriosity Shop at the top of the list), Pike Place, Seattle Center, International District (China Town), Quest Field for a Mariner's game, Alki Beach, Licoln Park, Gas Works Park... Tacoma...try Pt. Defiance Zoo and Aquarium You've been given alot of great ideas. I personally enjoy the Pike Place Market. May I also suggest taking a ferry ride to one of the surrounding islands, Vashon Island, Bainbridge Island or the San Juans. Take the Victoria Clipper to the San Juan Islands. |
