Looking for nice neighborhood in Renton/Seattle? |
Travel Info I will be trasnfering to Renton for work in the next few months and am looking to find a nice apartment in a safe neighboorhood. I will be working in Renton but will travel to Seattle frequently (Downtown and the University Area) so I am hoping to find something with easy access to both, preferably close to a busline that runs between Renton and Seattle. Does anyone know of any nice aparment communities that are'nt too outrageously priced. Travel Tips I lived in Bryn Mawr located between Skyway, Lakeridge, and Renton itself. Other Travel Tips The U district is very nice you might really like it there outlying areas of renton are very nice too Stay away from HWY 99 and the Skyway hill. Those are bad areas. Tukwila might be a good option. It is very close to Renton but also has good access to Seattle. Just stay east of I-5. West of I-5 in Tukwila isn't that nice. Also, south and eastern Renton have some nice areas, but you are further from Seattle. There are some fine neighborhoods in the Benson Hill (Renton) area. There are also some good neighborhoods in the Renton Highlands, but there are also some seedy ones so look around. Many of the neighborhoods in downtown Renton are going rather bad. It's best to stay on the hills or the outskirts. Renton resident for over 30 years. Check the Maple Valley area - south of Renton. |
