Moving to Seattle from Alabama?

Hi, I am an 18 year old male and want to get out of Alabama I traveled to Seattle a few summers ago and fell in love with it. I am planning to move a week or two after June 9th. A friend and I are moving and we have an apartment with two months rent and the lease has been signed and it has been furnished I now have a small amount of money to work with and would like information anyone can give me for driving across country and any advice about how to go about settling in Seattle. I would appreciate any information you can give me at all

man what a great move. i did it from nashville to seattle. as for the driving depends on how long you want to take. but u can go I40 out to LA then swing north on I5 or maybe take the PCH all the way up nice drive take about 4 to 6 days to go that way but its worth it.

when you get there find a job and keep it no matter what till you find a better job. stay out of the drugs heavy up there. save ya cash. dont blow it on stupid things you dont need. but most of all have fun. enjoy life. good luck to you. drive safe and enjoy seeing this beautiful country.

seattle is a really great city! I owuld suggest that, to settle down, you check out some of the local culture, like the festivals and concerts and sports games, stuff like that! Plus, summer is coming up, which means Bumbershoot, a big music festival in Seattle. Also, be sure to check out some of the nearby cities, such as Bellvue. They have lots of great restaurants and shopping!
