Seattle is great, especially downtown! It has a distinct vibe to it, and it is a really great place to live. Based on personal experience the people of Seattle seem to be more down-to-earth than other major United States cities. I would say that the majority are friendly, I mean of course there is the occasional oddball, but what major city doesn't have some of them? The weather despite what the vast majority of the country thinks is perfect (in my opinion). It does tend to rain a lot. In the winter it does not get that much snow, and it does not freeze a lot. During the summer it can be really nice, sunny and in the low 80's. Source(s): Lived in the fabulous city for a bit of my life =)

Hi, I'm also moving to Seattle at the end of the month. People are smart and friendly, and the weather is much more mild than it is in Michigan (where I am moving from). Winters are rainy, but at least not snowy. Summers are warm but not too hot, and beautiful!
Lots of rain, depressed people, coffee obsessed freaks, and self-righteous idiots.

But hey, it's beats LA.
Seattle sucks.. The weather is crap, the people are fake , and every thing is too damn expensive .
