Travel Tips
Your best bet for hotels is to go to Priceline and make a bid on a hotel in the downtown area. You should be able to get a three star at a very resonable price.

Now, for attractions, there are lots in the downtown area, which is why I suggested getting a hotel there. A favorite for locals and tourists alike is the Pike Place market where you can see the flying salmon. Close at hand is the waterfront that has everything from The Old Curosity Shop to Ivar's Acres of Clams. You can ride from place to place along the waterfront on its own dedicated trolley. If fresh water is more to your taste, try Lake Union. There you will find the Center for Wooden Boats, where you can rent a boat from noon until six every day to row around and look at the commercial salmon boats and yachts. While in this part of town you can enjoy the "Locks" that connect Lake Washington to Puget Sound. You can view salmon through viewing windows as they make their way from salt water to fresh to spawn. At the Seattle Center, you will find Seattle's landmark, the Space Needle. There you can dine and enjoy a magnificent view of the Northwest as you, your dinner and table slowly rotate at one rotation per hour. Over dinner you can enjoy views of every area of the sound and city. Located in the southern part of the city is the museum of flight, which has a wonderful collection of aircraft spanning the history of aviation. An inexpensive way to get out on the water is one of two Washinton State Ferries which run from the waterfront to either Bainbridge Island or Bremerton. Both have regular sailings throughout the day. I hope this helps.

you could come stay at a Holiday inn, i work at one in the area and i can get you a decent rate under a hundred dollars, we have a membership with Ball'y Fitness and complimentary breakfast, email me if you want to take me up on the offer, i dont want to give away my workplace on the net lol for attractions ya gotta go see the Pike place market, ye olde curiosity shoppe the Seattle center including EMP the monorail the Space needle and theCarnival
If you would like to stay at a more luxurious hotel, I would definitely recommend the Fairmont Olypic Hotel. It is in the heart of Seattle and walking distance to many of Seattle attractions. Although pricey, worth every penny. As for attractions I would recommend Pike Place Market. It has great views of the waterfront and mountains on a Sunny day. It also has great shopping unique to seattle. Near by, is Three Dogs Bakery where you can buy freshly made dog treats for you dog. The Space Needle is a must, being Seattle's number 1 land mark. You can also eat in the Needle, make sure to check that out. Also in that area there is the Pacific Science Center. There are a lot of cool things to explore inside. Also located at the Science Center is 2 Imax theaters. You can usually find one of the top box hits there and also informational movies there. Also there is a Mini Theme Park there. The Old Curiosity Shop on the water front is an interesting place to visit! They even have real mummies. You can also visit the aquarium and zoo. I would only recommend the aquarium if you have a lot of extra time on your hands, as for the woodland park zoo, that is a very fun place to visit and I believe they have baby tigers right now. 5th avenue has great shopping. Also you could check out plays at the 5th ave. Theater and the paramount theater. If you are more into outdoorsy things, then I would recommend snoqualmie falls about 45 minutes out of Seattle. Hope this helps!!!
as for hotels... dont stay at the seattle in. i stayed there and there was HAIR all over the beds and in the bathroom there was like used razors... it was sooo gross...
anyways...
pike place market... and the pacific science center. they have really cool laser shows... and you can visit our water front and our "yee ole curiosity shoppe" i dont remember how its spelled but something like that.... trust me... tons of fun. we also are home to the first star bucks. we have a cool aquarium and i believe we have a rather fun zoo... we have alot of jazzy type of places... and there is never a boring moment in seattle :) we also have the EMP (experience music project) and the sceince fiction museum and we have a really cool mall place... alot of that dark angel tv series (with jessica albla) was filmed there. and you can check out our odd selection of boats. or even see our interesting bathrooms. you can visit the water front and drink coffe and/or listen to the guys play music... we have tons of interesting little shops... my favorite thing to do here is get some skippers on the water front and sit on the board walk type of thing next to the statues on sun set with my friends goofing off.. we also have cool fish shows at pike place and the WEIRDEST shops there. i dont think i have yet gone there and not run into someone famous. eddie veddar(pearl jam) tons of basket ball players. i one time met howard stern at one of our basket ball games and the next day he was at pike place. ive met chris cornelle from sound garden and audio slave there... ive seen Chris Kattan from SNL there. its a very hit and miss place with the celebs.. i love the sound
im from the sound
