What is a better and nicer state to live in...Washington, or North Carolina? |
Travel Info What is a better and nicer state to live in...Washington, or North Carolina? Travel Tips For the past four years I have lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, and coincidently I moved here from Federal Way Washington where I lived for six years. I loved the Puget Sound and surrounding areas, but after living in NC I realize I need the sun shining brightly over my head all year save a couple days here and there. The Sound can be staggeringly beautiful, but for most of the year it reflects the gloomy sky, which is grayish black and dismal. Though the Emerald City is hauntingly beautiful some people like me do better with an overly bright sun. Both states have a lot of trees, but like any state not all of its cities are the same. Others This depends on what you're looking for out of a state. North Carolina is warmer, in general, and much cheaper. However, there tends to be more to do in Coastal Washington than there does in much of North Carolina. North Carolina and Washington both have beautiful mountains and beautiful scenery. However, North Carolina is very humid, while Washington escapes excess humidity. North Carolina is hurricane prone close to the coast while Washington has Mount Rainier. I personally would choose North Carolina, as it has a much cheaper cost of living and has a warmer climate, but it's all about weighing pros and cons. I enjoy washington state. Not as much humidity as the east coast. The east coast has much more historical value though. |
