Going to Seattle in 2 weeks...suggestions please? |
Travel Info My sister is graduating from college and we are coming up. I will be with my family in the day, but my sisters and boyfriend want to party at night. We are all above 21. We will be there Memorial Day weekend adn staying downtown on 6th St. Anyone have suggestions on where we should go for some great nightlife? We like hip-hop, reggae, house. Suggestions for family time are also appreciated. Let me know what you think, natives! Travel Tips Memorial Day Weekend? go check outy Folk Life it is a huge festival and entry is free at the Seattle Science Center, it is the coolest thing ever with vendors drum circles arts bellydancing and most of all MUSIC YEAH!!! For bars try the Last Supper Club, Chop Suey or Neighbors, and no matter what check out the Pike Place Market! Source(s): Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe is way cool too Other Travel Tips Pioneer Square. You pay a single cover charge and can go in and out of all the various clubs there. (That's where my daughter and her friends go.) Folk life is that weekend and its at the Seattle Center. Its always fun, so I highly recommend that. At night - get your beauty sleep - avoid the Bars. Folk life is a great suggestion. undercover's suggestions are good, but just so you know neighbors is a gay club... Just so you're not surprised. During the daytime: Obviously, go to Pike Place, Seattle Center (Folk Life is over there anyway). If you like Sea Food, definitely try to get reservations at Ivar's. I also recommend going to Green Lake if it's sunny out. But just walking around downtown is a lot of fun. Doesn't your sister have any suggestions? She should know the area if she went to college up there. You should ask her. Even if she doesn't know, I'm sure she could ask around. |
