Good areas for a mature, single woman to live in the Seattle area? Please read on for details:? |
Travel Info I'm 52 years old, and live by myself; I've been living in Issaquah (had to grab the first thing I could when I moved here hastily a while ago), but it's too pricey for my pocketbook. Add to that the fact that my apartment complex is going condo, and the end result is that I have to move. I'm presently paying $1350 a month for an apartment; I'd like to decrease my rent to $1100 or so a month. I'd prefer something that's not TOO far from wooded areas, and/or near Puget Sound. I don't mind driving a bit to get to work in Seattle, and traffic doesn't scare me. Bus service would be good (gas is up to nearly $4.00 per gallon, after all!!!). I'm not looking for a specific apartment complex name - just suggestions as to a good area. Any and all ideas and suggestions welcome - Thanks!!! Travel Tips I live in Mill Creek it is very nice and I think that you could get a apartment for 1100 per month, there are many bus routes that would take you down town. Just off of 128th there is a park and ride. Others I live in enumclaw and a new town house apartment here goes for around 700 dollars. it is 40 minutes from Seattle and 40 minutes from tacoma, the town is not as big as Issaquah bbut 10 minutes away in Bonney Lake they have a target and a walmart for shopping needs however Enumclaw has a lot of nice boutiques, we are low on crime also. there is a bus line that goes to seattle also right in downtown Enumclaw You can get a nice apartment in Burien for $1,000.00 per month. Excellent Bus Service or drive to Downtown Seattle on Highway 509 via First Avenue Bridge. probably not anywhere, cuz you are a mean old lady, and i wouldn't want you living in my apartment building |
