Moving to South Seattle Area. Housing/safety suggestions? |
Travel Info I am a recent college graduate and have accepted a job in DuPont WA. DuPont is 20 mins south of Tacoma, and 15 mins north of Olympia. Does anyone know of or have any suggestions for finding a quality apartment, and perhaps a good area for me to ensure my safety. I am very aware that Tacoma has one of the highest crime rates, and I would like to be able to survive my first year on the job. Any advice would be great! Travel Tips DuPont is a very nice place to live and Tacoma not THAT bad you just need to know the right neighborhoods there . You should have no problem in DuPont. I live in the area and my step-mother-in-law lives in DuPont. Stay far far away from Olympia...... EW! I love Olympia, so its your own choice i think. Olympia...think open minded free people. (no i am not a hippie, but nobody looks down on you in oly. you do what you want, cause everyone else does too.) Plus its south of crime land Tacoma. I would say Olympia, Hawks priaire, Lacey, ...thats my opinion just dont mess with nobody in tacoma and act like you're blind, you'll be aight lol tacoma is harsh, always keep your doors locked when drivin through the ghetto aswell i have had people try to open my door before |
