Travel Tips There are more gay and lesbians on Capitol Hill than other parts of the city, but there are plenty of straight people as well. As long as you don't mind being around gay people, it's fine. Most everyone has a pretty open attitude. Others Yes, Capitol Hill is considered the GAYER part of town (but not 100% gay). Straight people can chill out there as well: there are several bars/clubs/pubs that have a lot of straight people. As long as you're fine constantly being in areas with crowds of gay people, near the main Broadway strip, you'll be alright. Keep in mind that parts of the hill aren't gay at all. My "gaydar" Only if that person is homophobic. Everyone is welcome there. Capitol Hill is a mess - it is one of the worst parts of Seattle. I recommend Magnolia. |
