Best (safest/cleanest) suburb to live near Seattle? |
Travel Info Where are the safest suburban neighborhoods to live near Seattle other than Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue? 45 mins. to an hour rush hour commute to Seattle is doable. Travel Tips Safe and clean? Issaquah and Sammamish. Others Have you tried up North? Mill Creek maybe? You've got some good suggestions so far (the town I live in has already been suggested). Other places to consider that are north of the City: Edmonds (especially in the "bowl" area) or Woodway Richmond Beach (Innis Arden) Mukilteo Woodinville is also nice, but check the commuting time - it might be beyond your 45min-1 hour commute suggestion. I'm sure there are nice areas south of the city as well, but I'm not as familiar with them... North end resident Well, Kirkland, Bellevue, and Redmond are by far the cleanest. Other then that there are smaller pockets around the area. West Seattle is a good one. It is close to downtown and still a nice area. In north Seattle there are some pockets of nice areas. To be honest, the more expensive the house or apartment, the nicer the area is. Also, look at areas close to the water (Puget Sound or a lake). The closer you get to water, the nicer the area. Bainbridge Island but you would have to take a ferry. |
