What are some great places to Eat for Kids and ADults, and some fun attractions? Please list average Prices.? |
Travel Info i need the prices to go with the attractions and food. Food for 1 kid, and one Adult..like a teenager kid/ Thanks! Travel Tips You can go to the Seattle Center and there are a whole host of options for activities and food. You can ride the amusement park ride at the Fun Forest. Ticket prices start at $1 and then there are book prices. I can't remember them all, it's something along the lines of $9 for 10, $17 for 20, there's a 40-ticket book, and then there are bracelets for unlimited rides for the majority of the day (I think they are $20). The rides start at 2 tickets, but most for a teenager and adult are 3+ tickets. The bumper cars are 2 tickets for 3 minutes, then just about anything else you'd want to ride is 3 and over. You can go to the Experience Music Project on the same Seattle Center grounds and the entrance is right around $20 (maybe $17, possibly less if the teenager qualifies as child rate). There's all sorts of music history and music fun inside. Also, the Key Arena is on the grounds, the Pacific Science Center (I can't remember the entrance fee so I won't guess), and the Space Needle. You can go up to the top of the Space Needle for under $20 each or if you are dining up there, the ride up is free (although the food's a bit pricy to make up for it)! You can eat in the food court that is inside the Center House and it's like a typical food court in a mall. Nothing is as cheap as it would be outside of the "food court setting", but nothing's outrageously expensive. There's a Pizza Haven, Frankfurter, Magic Dragon Chinese, Subway, Orange Julius, Steamer's (seafood, expensive compared to most of food court), a burger joint whose name escapes me (but their burgers are good and their shakes as well. It's next to Steamer's), a Greek place, and a couple of other places. There's also Michaelangelo's which has a window to order food or you can enjoy sit-down dining in their "restaurant" area. Also, there's a Starbucks (of course) and another coffee stand right across from it. You'll expect to pay no more than around $10 for food each and you'll probably spend less (unless you go to Michaelangelo's, I just can't say, I haven't eaten in the restaurant). Out of all of those, I'd recommend a burger from the burger place or Orange Julius, a Gyro from the Greek place, a calzone from the Michaelangelo's window, or a Bockwurst from Frankfurter. They're all great and will definitely be under $10/apiece! Also, I forgot, but there's a Mexican restaurant and they have a fantastic taco salad! Delish! It's all one place (Seattle Center), but they offer a lot of different food and activity combinations! Source(s): I apparently still love Seattle Center. I worked there for 7 years up until a couple years ago and still go visit my friends there every other week. Other Travel Tips Pike Place Market is a fun excursion for both adults and kids. It's also a great place to buy souveniers for anyone back home. Lots of options for food and lunch - sandwhiches at 3 girls bakery or fish and chips at Jake's Fish Spot (across the street from the main market in the Sanitary Building) - you could do either with drinks for about $20 for two. I also like the Chicken Pita sandwhiches at Turkish Delight on the far end of the Market - again about $20 for lunch for two. If the kid (or you) is interested in airplanes, the Museum of Flight is interesting. It's down by Boeing Field south of downtown. We have always eaten at the cafe in the museum when we go down there. A ferry ride can be fun, especially if the weather is nice. You can take the ferry from downtown over to Bainbridge Island and back - whether you get off and wander Bainbridge Island is up to you. The trip is about 45 min each way. Food service on the ferries isn't great. If you like being a little silly, the Duck tour of Seattle can be fun also - they tour the streets of Seattle, then take the vehicle into the water for a tour of Lake Union also. I recommend the Pacific Science Center for an older adolescent/preteen - lots of stuff there to keep most kids interested. If it's' hot, take a swimsuit and towel to Seattle Center and plan to play in the International Fountain. Have a good trip! Pike Place Market is good to go and find somewhere to eat, if you go to the piers by the aquarium there is quite a few restaurants lining the water front, that is usually where i take my son to eat. For a teen, Game Works is really cool also for adults too amongst all the games is a restraunt upstairs with pretty good food |
