Do you have to cross Lake Washington to get to Kirkland from Bothell?

Travel Info
Any other local cities that are within a few miles of Kirkland that can be traveled to quickly? Looking for easy access and the shortest amount of time travel to Kirkland...any recommendations?

Travel Tips
No. You can get to Bothell by heading north on I-405 and both are on the east side of Lake Washington. Other cities close to Kirkland that are all on the east side of the lake are Redmond, Bellevue, and Issaquah (not as close). Bellevue has the biggest "downtown" area and Bellevue Square, which is the most well-known mall in Washington (I guess people are even told to visit it as visitors). A lot of Kirkland, Redmond, and Bellevue are all close together enough to even walk, depending on where you are starting. There is also bus service provided through all of these, but it isn't as great as bus service in Seattle, west of Lake Washington.
