Moving for a good job to the Renton, WA area soon. Any info would be great regarding the area.?

Travel Tips
Renton is very up and coming. Apparently many powerful people in the state have taken a sudden interest in the area, so if you get in now, you'll probably have a place that has increased in quite a bit of value soon. It is not too far from the airport, and is considered the "South End". Kent (which is nearby) also has good housing prices, but for both, you will drive about 25 minutes north to Downtown Seattle. Depending on what part of Renton you are in, you may also be close to Bellevue, and thus the "Eastside". You will have access to shopping malls, restaurants, Costco (hey, it matters for some!), and many other things. Good luck with the job!

Traffic is horrendous, but the scenery is great. We are currently having a warmer/dryer than normal summer.
It is a nice place. The weather is great during the spring and summer. Horrible in the winter!!! The traffic is horrible if you go with it. I go against the traffic so it is not that bad. You might want to live north of Renton if you job is there so that you don't go with traffic. But it is more expensive the more north you go.

Good luck!
I live in Renton
the traffic sucks, and sucks hard.
