Does the zoo in Seattle have pandas? |
Travel Info Does the zoo in Seattle have pandas? Travel Tips The Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle has red pandas, but not the black and white ones. http://www.zoo.org is their site. It's a GREAT zoo. Others Yes i live in Seattle and yep, they got pandas!! Seattle Zoo A zoo has to have pandas to have credibility, It should have a gorilla lions and tigers and elephants rhinos and bears. I went to a zoo once that had just penguins and rabbits and a few exotic birds like budgies and canaries,That to me is not a zoo and is not worth the four quid , even if you do get a free balloon on the way out. kids come out crying saying they would have rather gone to the beach. moaning as they get back into the car , and dad finds out he got aparking ticket. and mum breaks the heel of her shoe and you all drive home and it starts to rain aswell. and you all pull over to eat takeaway fish and chips. Thats not a proper day out, and the kids argue in the back on the way home and dads hand comes over while he's driving trying to stop them ....yeah that not a day out..you do definately need some pandas or something. The Woodland Park Zoo has red pandas (Ailurus Fulgens Syani) Not sure how many they have - more than one I think. Get full details and watch a video clip of the red pandas at WPZ here: http://www.zoo.org/factsheets/facts.html... The red panda is listed under "Mammals" yes they have two types, Remeber the Seattle Zoo or Woodland Park Zoo has exhibits that are mostly from Asia, the Tacoma Zoo or Point Defiance is more of the US, Mexico, and S America, although i just went to the Pt Defiance zoo and there were tigers and such Yes, it does. I really think they're cute. |
