Downtown Seattle: Pioneer Square Pike Place Market Myrtle Edwards Park Seattle Art Museum Seattle Aquarium Seattle Center: Seattle Children's Museum Space Needle Pacific Science Center EMP (Experience Music Project - a must see) Central Seattle: Japanese Garden Washington Park Arboretum South Seattle: Museum of Flight Kubota Garden Outside Seattle: Museum of Glass - Tacoma Tacoma Art Museum - Tacoma Washington State History Museum - Tacoma Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium - Tacoma Northwest Trek Wildlife Park (very cool, kids would love it) - just outside of Puyallup near Eatonville. Others In Troutdale, go to Tad's Chicken 'N Dumplins. It is an old restaurant along the Sandy River. Great food, casual atmosphere, nice views of the river. Troutdale also has a fairly decent outlet mall. In Seattle, the Pacific Science Center is great for families. The Waterfront also has something for everyone. Ferry rides, good food, Ye Old Curiosity Shop (souvenirs, gag gifts, real mummies, etc.), and Pike Place Market is a few blocks away. I've never been to Fairfield, CA - sorry. Fairfield, CA Is the home of Jelly Belly's. There are tours every day, a cafe, and a huge jelly belly shop where you can find any flavor of jelly belly that you desire.
