Travel Tips
If you get here right at the very beginning of the month, during Labor Day Weekend, there is a music festival at Seattle Center called Bumbershoot that is a lot of fun. There are many many bands that play each day, Friday-Monday, of all different kinds of genres. Seattle Center is also the location of the Space Needle and the EMP (Experience Music Project). I don't understand really, why people say that the Space Needle is "played out" or "not all that" really. It's a cool sightseeing location that offers great views, especially around this time of year when you can see for a good distance, great photo opportunities and is just one of those fun experiences. The restaurant dining experience has gotten much better up at the top of the Space Needle, so if you want to dine in the revolving restaurant up there that is a nice option and you can walk up to the observatory from there. Back down on the ground, there are amusement park rides such as a roller coaster, ferris wheel, carousel, and such to enjoy as well! You can also hop on the Monorail just feet away from the base of the Space Needle to get "whisked away" to downtown.

At the other end of the Monorail is Westlake Center, a kind of nice shopping mall area right in the heart of downtown and just a few blocks from Pike Place Market. You can enjoy a coffee and then take a stroll down Pine St. right down to Pike Place Market and enjoy the shops. Take the "classic" photo next to the steel pig (or sitting on it, like many people!) in the main entrance of Pike Place and enjoy the fish throwing if you like! There's some great little places to grab a bite to eat on both sides of the brick street that runs along Pike Place Market. On the opposite side from the market is also the first Starbucks location, if that's of interest to you!

Head out the back of Pike Place Market and walk down to the Pier where you can enjoy some shops right on the piers. Stop at Ye Olde Curiousity Shoppe for some fun quirky things (and two real mummies in the back of the store in glass cases). Also, you can grab a bowl of chowder, some fish and chips from Ivar's, and if you get it outside, you can sit outside and throw fries (or fish [or I guess spoonfuls of chowder if you really want]) to the seagulls that are constantly around and looking for handouts. It's nice to be sitting right out "on the water" enjoying some fish and chips. You can catch a ferry out there as well, which is a great ride, whether you want to check out the destinations at the other end or just want to enjoy the ferry ride!

Depending on when in September you are here, you can also take in a Mariners game if you are here at the right time and enjoy Safeco Field, which is an excellent field to catch a baseball game!

Hope you enjoy your stay in Seattle and I've really given enough that you could fit it in all in one day on foot even or spend a day at each if you like!

Seattle space needle, their museum, their aquarium, and their mountains. They're beautiful!
Plus all the others, if you have time go up to the San Juan Islands. Beautiful!

Try this link it has all those place one must see in Seattle. I went to almost all of them. They all are great place. Seattle in general is one of my best states. After coming back from there I am now thinking about moving there. Its a beautiful state. Also drive to Oregon and Canada from Seattle if you can cuz they both are not that far away. We did that and oh my gosh it was GRRRREEAAT. First of all going by road its more fun because u get to enjoy all the scenic and natural beauty. Oregon has the most beautiful 72 waterfalls which are all unique in its own way (of course u cannot see them all) but you'll know after seeing only a few, also crater lake. Secondly Canada is also one of the best places to visit. Therez so much to do and see that I can bet you'll wanna see more there. If you go to Canada then definitely go to Capillano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain, and most of all THE BUCHART GARDENS.
When you are done in Seattle, u can rent a really good car for really cheap prices and Drive to Oregon and Canada. There are also really good hotels too for really good and affordable, cheap prices. It's just that you'll have to do a little research online which is worth it.
I guess u have heard the saying that "Do your H.W?" So, do some research about the place where u are going n where u wanna go to over there. Pick and choose the best place to see, cuz some places don't turn out the way they look and say they are. And plan it all out where to go first, second n third on whatever day, and most of all dont forget directions or a gps if ur gonna travel in a car after getting there.

GOOD LUCK....
n enjoy as much as u can........
