Looking for family vacation spot in Seattle?

Travel Info
What is the best inexpensive thing for a family to do for a minivacation in the Seattle area? And the best place to stay that is fairly inexpensive?

Travel Tips
Seattle Center has a little of everything, there is the Children's Museum, The Pacific Science Center, IMAX, Space Needle, Fun Forest, and the International fountain (it's free to play in water!)

There really are not many low cost places to stay in Seattle during the summer, expect to pay at least $200 a night if you are in the city. The 'burbs are a bit cheaper around $120 a night. I would recommend a Marriott Residence Inn as they have full kitchens and bedrooms, as well as happy hours with free food and breakfast to help save money.

That said, looks like Res Inn downtown is about $400/night right now and the Res Inn in Bothell is $200/night.
