Is Sheffeild England near London England? |
Travel Info Both are places I wish to go some day! Travel Tips Forget London- come to Sheffield- it's great and much cheaper- if you come today you can get a free boat ride!! Only joking- we're flooded!! Others In relation to the size of the USA, yes they are very close (Around 200 miles I think). However, for us Brits that's an enormous distance. I live further north than Sheffield (in Durham) and the capital city of Scotland is actually closer to me than London. If you come to England spend time visiting many places, you'll find that they, and the people differ somewhat. I'm biased but I think Durham is the most beautiful city in England and the people are very friendly ... though you may have difficulty understanding our accents lol They are quite far apart so if you can only visit one place I would choose London. It looks as though they are quite far. The Midland Main Line railway south from Sheffield links the city to the East Midlands and London: providing direct services to Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Bedford (the fastest train Sheffield to London is two hours).
