Travel Tips Spend a day in Sentosa, you may buy ticket for cable car or monorail in Vivocity as there is a terminal there to take you into Sentosa Island. At the same time, you may shop at one of the biggest and newest shopping centres in Singapore (Vivocity). Mount Faber to enjoy a cool and scenic dining experience. At the top of the mountain, you will be at a bird's eye view of Singapore night scene. The Esplanade (building that resembles Durian, a tropical fruit) to enjoy a show or concert if there is any that suits your time-table and take a stroll along the river where you could take picture with our Mascot, The Merlion. There is a Gluttons Bay where you could taste many of our local food. Within 10 mins walk from The Esplanade, visit Suntec City. It is also one of the biggest shopping centres with many convention halls and food outlets. The main attraction is the Wealth of Fountain which is the biggest fountain in Asia where you could gain entry free and it is believed walking round the fountain 3 times, clockwise, will bring you good fortune. You could purchase photos there at a price or souvenirs for family and friends back at home. If time permits, stroll along Orchard Road as it is one of the busiest places. There are many major shopping centres in that area all within walking distance. A great place to go window shoppings or do some actual purchases. Not forgetting many eating outlets and cafes for resting the tired legs (Coffee Beans, Starbucks, etc.) Chinatown is any great attraction for local stuff too. There are many stores selling interesting stuff which you might even consider buying them home for souvenirs. Please remember to take those brochures available at Changi Airport for reference. It is also better to map out your hotel so that you are able to plan the route to minimise travelling time. Travelling in Singapore is easy. MRT is fast and easily accessible. Taxi is inexpensive and convenient too especially if you are carrying heavy stuff.
