Travel Tips
Hi, you've already missed 2 mega IT Shows already, it happened this month back only.

HOWEVER, the PC SHOW 2007 is already over. It happened during The GREAT SINGAPORE SALE period, from 25 May - 22 Jul 2007.

Details of Event:
PC Show 2007 will boast over 400 exhibitors showcasing thousands of products, including the latest in audio-visual equipment, entertainment gadgets, digital photography, printing and imaging solutions and consumer electronics, it is definitely a "not-to-be missed event".

PC Show celebrating its 16th Anniversary this year is Singapore 鈥檚 longest-running and largest consumer IT show. Year on year thousands have flocked to the show in search of getting their hands on the latest products and gadgets. Offering some of the best deals in town, the event is a 1-stop-shop for all IT lovers. Last year alone the Show raked up S$18 million in sales and drew crowds of over 700,000, hitting a whopping 4.5 million visitors over the past 15 years.

NOTE:
Anyway, if you still want to buy a laptop from the shops, the BEST place to go is definitely SIM LIM SQUARE. The mall is selling all sorts of electronics and electrical products, ranging from home appliances to other office or personal gadgets. Products like Cd-roms, DVD-roms, authentic brands like VCD/DVD players, HDTVs, Personal Computers, Laptops, MP3 players, Digicams, Videocams, Handphones and alot more to name are all found inside the mall. You sure can get the best deal when you visit Sim Lim Square. And if you happen to travel between the Great Singapore Sale duration, you can even get more bargains!!

** IMPORTANT:
For your info, since you're a visitor or traveller, REMEMBER to keep ALL your original receipts or invoices so you can claim back the 5% GST (duties and taxes) before you depart from the airport.

Make sure your receipts have been accompanied with the copies of the duties & tax claim forms and the forms have been stamped or signed by the vendors. Not only that, retaining the original receipts and invoices will assist you when you need to do any exchange or refunds during your stay in Singapore and also to provide the warranty period for your purchases!!

Have shopping in Singapore and hope you get the best deals out of it!!

At the back of Bugis Street, in the main road there is a circular building, and all that it sells is computers, so you won't have any problems getting a laptop there. Another place is Mustafas in Little India. To get there just tell the taxi driver Mustafas, and he will know where you want to go. Singapore is not as cheap as it use to be, in fact you might find the prices a bit more expensive than what you pay in the western countries. You can get a bus to KL in Malaysia, which takes 5 hours, and everything is considerably cheaper there.
