Travel Info Where is london bridge? Travel Tips The original London Bridge is now in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It was bought by someone quite wealthy and dismantled and rebuild near the Colorado River as a tourist attraction. I think the British built another bridge in its place. Others i think in london hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......... LONDON? Um...London? Here's a hint, it's called "LONDON" bridge- so, I'd venture to say in London, England, United Kingdom, Europe... been there Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It was sold to Arizona by London many years ago when it was being dismantled to be replaced by a new bridge. Urban myth has it that the Americans thought they were getting Tower Bridge. London Bridge is not a particularly pretty or interesting bridge, and now stands over a lake bed which is dry most of the year. But it's fun to think of all the effort the Americans went to in order to import it and rebuild it. You can't buy history, guys! |
