those who ride in a taxi regularly in Singapore, have you ever chatted with the taxi drivers, nice ones or not?

there are the nice friendly ones who even offered me sweets or so nice i'd tell them to keep the change.

but there are the rude ones (whom i'd eventually complain on) and the irritating burping ones orthe bad driver ones or the talk-nonsense or talk about the governement or complain here and there about the world as if we can do anything about it. yup, all kinds of taxi drivers.really. had too much experience that i can even write a book about it. for real.

I am a Singaporean. Actually, most local taxi drivers often chat with passengers during riding.
We have been in Singapore several times and have usually had good luck with fair and reasonable taxi drivers. More than once, they've offered to just take us on tour for a very reasonable flat price.

On one occasion, we did that and he took us to his home for dinner. All spoke enough English to make everything easier for us.
wau..like that also can? then is a trick to have free taxi ride...hehe
Taxi drivers here are all so friendly. They love to chat.
Yup...most are nice people...
They enjoy talking about current issues,especially politics.
