Travel Tips If you purchase at retailers operating the Retailers Tourist Refund system (they have Tax Refund logo displayed) but have to check with them the minimum purchase amount required to qualify for refund. You must get the completed tax refund form from the retailers. Before departing S'pore, produce refund form, receipts and goods at the GST Refund Inspection Counters for inspection. Then return the endorsed tax refund claim form to the retailer in order for the retailer to process and make the GST refund in the manner agreed. Otherwise, if you purchase from retailers affiliated to a Central Refund Agency (they have Tax Free logo displayed). The rest of the process is the same, except after inspection, you should proceed to the Central Refund Agency counter located inside the departing lounge (after immigration clearance) to obtain the GST refund. However, the central refund agencies will charge a handling fee for its refund services. It will be deducted from the GST amount to be refunded.
