if u r craving for malay food, then geylang is the best place although geylang do have alot of good & tasty chinese food. if want to try the 'satay', i suggest the best plc is still Lau Pa Sat, stall no. 14

the Adam Road Nasi Lemak not bad at all(:
Geylang got really good Malay food (but if you're girl you must be careful there)
Coller Quay you can eat the traditional Singapore food
Giant Hypermart got really nice and fleshy coconuts(:
bedok block 85, chomp chomp and adams road. please dont try newton. its horrible.
