Very unlikely. The Iran president has enough problems already what with the fuel ration & inflation & the sluggish economy. The US will definitely think twice before doing anything drastic. They still are facing problems in Iraq & Afganistan. Think of the consequences if there's war. Osama Bin Laden & the Talibans are just nearby (hehehe!)
The way I see it, war will only break out if Iran launches attack in Israel, US close ally in the Middle East but I can't foresee that happening. The Iran president was just intimidating Israel with his comments, that's all.
