Travel Info Do u think casinos is good or bad in sg? Travel Tips A few years ago we introduced casinos in New Zealand. About 1 or 2 % of their customers are problem gamblers. The casino owners make huge profits but everybody pays for the social problems they cause, like bankruptcies, embezzlement, suicides and loan sharks. It's the same with all the other expensive luxuries provided for the super rich, like holiday resorts in Queenstown. The owners reap huge profits but everybody pays for the infrastructure, like upgrades to sewerage, roads and the airport. Then there's the human suffering caused to problem gamblers and their families. Singapore has harsh penalties for drug offences, but you can wreck your life even faster with gambling than with drugs. Both Singapore and NZ had enough forms of gambling like lotteries and horse racing without casinos. Some forms of gambling are more addictive than others. Horse racing doesn't seem to cause many problems, but scratch-and-win tickets, casinos and pokie machines seem to ruin a lot of lives. Others Good.Government won't let Singaporean in,so only too rich foreigners can go to the casinos.And we'll squeeeeze them dry.hahahahaha.... It'll be good for the economy. It won't be good for it's image. Singapore is so strict that I can't imagine it being successful there. |
