Do i need a Singapore Visa for a one night stopover at the place? |
Travel Info I am planning to go to Manila. The route I have decided is from Chennai to Singapore by Air India Express and from Singapore to Manila by Tiger Airways on possibly that very day. May be I have tostop over in Singapore for a night or so to catch the next flight. Do I need a Visa for that? This is pretty urgent... Travel Tips You do not say what nationality you are. I urge you not to rely on anything other than verbal advice from an official of the Singapore Government, I have been caught out by mis-information before now and it is miserable. At the point of entry, you'll be given a visa. You will need a visa and it will take 3 days to process with a local sponsor. You will have to apply for 1 at India before coming here. You can choose a direct flight from India to Manila.Book a ticket from a travel agent from India. Its cheaper than on the net. You save on the stay and visa costs here. Air India Express arrive at around 6.30pm here. Tiger Airways flys at 7.20am or 11.40am the next day. you will have to spend about 13 hours to 17 hours here. You need food and lodging. You will be tired. It costs minumum $150 from Sing to Manila. Air India Express costs about $220 from india to Sing. If you add the Visa Costs, The direct flight is the wise option for you.
